Through the use of a muted palette and delicate mark making, Rosie aims to pursue and portray a quality of lightness in a world where prejudice and terror is at the forefront of our society. The observation of human connection and our connection to landscape plays a major role within her practice. It is through the connections we may make with others that play a part to our progression, or incidentally, regression through life. As well as the notion of 'being home' we are so inherently drawn to. This idea is particularly tied to the sights Rosie witnessed when visiting the now deconstructed refugee camp in Calais; likewise to other events reported in regards to the current refugee crisis.
